Results Achieved

Presentations on the work being done on each thematic area were done. This clearly showed that Caritas Masvingo is doing some great work to change the lives of Masvingo society to be self sustaining and be able to face the challenges of life.

A review of the expectations of CI, ZCBC AND Caritas National Office were done. This was meant to align the thought processes to the strategic planning processes. The emphasis was to ensure that, as the group discusses the strategy they should not lose sight of the expectations. In this way the Church will be speaking with the same voice hence the one family concept

PROCESS FOR THE PLANNING WORKSHOP

Following the presentations of the work done by participants

  • Scanned the environment in which Caritas Masvingo will be working in the next 5
    years 2023 to 2027.
  • Tasked participants to work on different thematic areas on strategies.
  • Vision and Mission statements were adjusted to enable them to carry and guide the
    new thrust of Caritas Masvingo
  •  Relooked at the purpose and values to keep themselves aligned to the bigger picture.
  • Action-planned the thematic areas and that of Caritas Masvingo

Strategic Plan 2023 - 2027

The areas of focus were identified as:-

  1. Water, Sanitation, Hygiene and Environment
  2. Climate Change
  3. Livelihoods, Food Security and Nutrition
  4. Women Empowerment, Protection and Safeguarding
  5. Advocacy and Lobbying
  6. Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability
  7. Research and Development
  8. Youth Empowerment
  9. Emergencies
  10. Institutional Development


The Strategic Plan addressed the gaps identified in the previous strategic plan of 2023 to 2027. The plans outlined strategies and action plans thereby creating a road map for Caritas operations.
